ChosenOneOfLasarythe

My name is Brittanie Lalenia, I am the daughter of Warren Lalenia the Chief of the Zendolas Clan. My Clan consists of beings that have white wings coming out of their backs, most of the time they are mistaken for angels by travelers but we are actually called Lasarythe. Unlike the rest of my Clan my wings are black, apparently there is a legend among all the different Lasarythe that if a child should be born with black wings then that child is the Chosen one and that they will someday save all of the Lasarythe. My parents tried to give me as normal a childhood as they could but I'm sad to say that it wasn't that normal at all, everywhere I went people expected so much from me even though I was just a child. As I grew up I learned to deal with the expectations and did my best to do the ones that I could, when I was finally old enough for my Coming of Age ceremony I couldn't have been happier because I was finally allowed to leave our little village to explore the world. I was excited at the thought of being able to travel around and not worry about my duties for awhile but sadly it wasn't that simple, my father announced that once my journey was over I was to be wed to the strongest male from the Shenzeki Clan named Vince in order to unite the strength of their forces against evil. During the celebration Vince took me away from the party and told me that as his wife he expected my full cooperation with him no matter what it was but when I told him I refused to do what he wanted or to even marry him he slapped me across the face and told me that was just a warning, I tried to run back to the party to tell everyone what happened but he stopped me and told me that if I told anyone in either of our Clans that he'd have me killed. The next day I bid farwell to my family and Clan promising them that I'd return when I felt I learned everything I need to know to help them but secretly I wished that my journey would never end so that I would never have to see Vince again, I quickly left my village and got as far away from it as I could before I finally broke down and released all the pent up emotions I had been hiding. It has already been a year since I left my village and I've learned alot of things but I refuse to go back until I can figure out a way to end the arranged marriage and show them what a horrible being Vince is.
